Lahore: Punjab Police have arrested 309 proclaimed offenders, 141 court absconders, and 62 habitual criminals in intelligence-based search and sweep operations across the province.
The Punjab Police spokesperson stated that in the past 24 hours, a total of 43 search and sweep operations were conducted, during which 467 individuals were identified and questioned. As a result, 55 suspects were taken into custody.
The spokesperson further revealed that illegal weapons and ammunition were recovered from criminals and suspects, which have been confiscated and taken into official custody.
During various anti-crime operations, Punjab Police successfully neutralized three dacoits, while another suspect was arrested in an injured condition.
Inspector General (IG) Punjab has affirmed that the crackdown against terrorists and criminal elements will continue, ensuring the province remains safe from unlawful activities.
